PARTNERING WITH YOU

What Happens on Sunday

Riverwood Kids exists to partner with parents and guardians in helping children know Jesus. Every Sunday morning, your child walks into a room built for their age, led by trained volunteers, and centered on one thing: the Bible.

Each classroom follows the Gospel Project curriculum, a Christ-centered Bible study that walks kids through the storyline of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation. Your child hears the same Jesus who anchors the adult service, taught in a way that sticks.

You sit in the service. Your kids learn in theirs. Everyone leaves pointed toward the same Christ.

OPEN ARMS NURSERy

Infants through toddlers.

(until age three or

potty-trained)

9:00, 10:15, and 11:30 AM

Open Arms Nursery gives your youngest children a routine of welcome, Bible stories, playtime, and snack. The environment is warm, the volunteers are consistent, and your child is cared for so you can focus on the service. Once a toddler is three and potty-trained, they graduate to the Jr. Pre-K class.

EVERY ROOM TEACHES JESUS

Programs by Age

PREschool classes

Three years old through kindergarten

9:00, 10:15, and 11:30 AM

Preschoolers learn about Jesus through singing, dancing, Bible stories from the Gospel Project, and hands-on crafts or games. Each lesson is designed to plant biblical truth in language a young child can hold onto. The room is active, colorful, and led by volunteers who love this age.

elementary classes

1st through 4th Grade

9:00, 10:15, and 11:30 AM

Elementary students dig deeper into Scripture through the Gospel Project curriculum, worship, and application activities. Each week connects a Bible lesson to something real in their everyday life. This is where your child starts building a faith vocabulary and asking bigger questions about who Jesus is.

MORE THAN A GAME

Kids Sports Ministry

Soccer, basketball, and flag football run seasonally at Riverwood. Each season is an opportunity for kids to build teamwork, have fun, and hear about Jesus in a setting outside the classroom. Volunteer coaches, referees, and program support staff make it happen.

Roles: Head and assistant coaches, referees, and program support volunteers are always needed.

YOUR FIRST SUNDAY WITH KIDS

What to Expect

First time? Here is what the morning looks like.

01

Arrive and check in.

Head to the New Families Desk in the foyer. A team member will meet your family, walk you through the check-in process, and take you to your child's classroom. You can also pre-register online ahead of time to save a step.

02

Drop off with confidence.

Every classroom is led by trained, background-checked volunteers. You will receive a matching tag for pick-up. If your child needs you during the service, the team will contact you directly.

03

Pick up after the service.

Head back to your child's classroom with your matching tag. Your child will be released to you, and you can ask the volunteers how the morning went.

No appointment needed. No paperwork ahead of time. Just show up and let the team take care of the rest.
