From the Lobby Into Real Community
Connect at Riverwood Chapel
You showed up on Sunday. Now find the people and the Christ-centered community where you actually belong.
What Comes Next
Find Your Place
Sunday morning opens the door. But the relationships that change your life happen during the week, around a table, inside a small group, serving alongside people who know your name.
Riverwood Chapel in Kent, Ohio is built so you can take whatever step makes sense for where you are right now. Parent, college student, someone who has been coming for years and still feels new. There is a starting point here for you.
Wherever You Are, Start Here
Where to Start
High School Ministry
9th through 12th grade. Faith has to become their own at some point. Sunday morning Bible study, evening gatherings, and small groups create a community where high school students can build a faith in Jesus that they own.
Discovery Class
You have been coming on Sundays and something feels right but you are not sure what the next move is. The Discovery Class answers that. Four Sunday mornings cover the mission, values, and beliefs of Riverwood while giving you space to ask questions and meet others walking the same path toward Jesus.
Baptism
Baptism is how you take your faith in Jesus public. At Riverwood, baptism happens through full water immersion, a physical picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. If you are a believer and have never been baptized, this is the step that says it out loud.
Kids Ministry
Birth through 4th grade. Your kids deserve more than a holding room while you sit in service. Riverwood Kids gives them their own place to learn about Jesus in an environment built for the way they learn. From the Open Arms Nursery through elementary, every room is staffed by trained volunteers who care about your child's safety and their faith.
Middle School Ministry
5th through 8th grade. Your kid is not a little kid anymore but they are not ready for the adult world either. Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings give middle schoolers space to build friendships, dig into Scripture, and grow in their faith in Jesus alongside peers who are asking the same questions.
College Ministry
Ages 18 to 25. Being away from home does not mean being away from Jesus. College students gather Sunday mornings for teaching rooted in Christ and real community. Whether you are at Kent State or commuting from another campus, there is a seat for you.
Adult Studies and Classes
Maybe you have followed Jesus for decades and want to keep growing. Maybe you picked up a Bible for the first time this month and have no idea where to start. Either way, there is a class for where you are. Men's Huddle, Women to Women, and seasonal studies give adults space to study Scripture and build relationships that carry through the week.
Serve
Riverwood runs on people who show up. Whether you are greeting families, coaching kids sports, leading a small group, or serving meals, there is a place to put the mission of Jesus into action.
Your First Step Into Community
