Youth and Adult Components
As we have done in the past, this year's trip will include a Youth Component and an Adult Component. The teams will prepare, travel, lodge, eat and worship together. How much the teams will be working together once we get to the Dominican Republic we will see. The Adult Component's primary ministry will be centered around providing medical services to Haitians living in sugar cane villages, while the Youth Component will be ministering to their children. Though the emphasis is medical, there are plenty of roles for those who are not in a medical profession.
Those who make up the adult component will not be asked to serve as adult leaders for the students. The senior high component will include all their own leaders.
As is always the case, flexibility is key since situations are likely to change.
