Reflecting Christ by using your gifts
Reflecting Christ: living lives that serve the church and the world.
This is a priority at Riverwood because the Bible assumes that followers of Christ will be involved in serving others "for the common good."
A spiritual gift is a divinely bestowed ability for service freely given to each member of the Body of Christ.
Among the gifts given "for the common good" are:
Faith - the ability to trust God and his provision even in extreme circumstances.
Teaching - the ability to instruct others in the details, harmony, and application of God's Word.
Helps/Ministry - the ability to serve in practical ways so as to aid the work of the church and those in need.
Administration/Rule - the ability to direct and organize the ministries of the church.
Exhortation - the ability to motivate, encourage, comfort and challenge one's fellow believers.

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spiriti for the common good. 1 Corinthisans 12:4-7
